5 Ways to Style Athleisure This Fall

We all love styling our activewear for comfortable and fashionable fall outfits. These are my 5 favorite strategies for athleisure outfit building.

Go High-Low

hello fall

The best way to look pulled together when wearing athletic wear is to go High-Low. This means wearing 50% of your outfit casual (in this case, athleisure) and 50% formal.

Here I paired leggings and sneakers in a classic black with an unstructured blouse and sleeveless sweater for a look I can wear in the city while being super comfortable.

Use sports bras to create back detail

Sports bras really don't get enough credit in athleisure styling. With the trend of strappy sports bras, they can be reimagined to create interest in a casual outfit.

For fall, pair with an open back sweater for an unexpected look.

Create a waistline

Probably one of the biggest offenses of athleisure looks is looking baggy and shapeless. Combat this by purposely creating a waistline.

One of my favorite ways to create an instant waistline is by tying a collared shirt at the natural waist. Here I wanted a sleek look, so I chose a classic structured white shirt and some complimenting rose gold jewelry.

Just add leather

My trick for making the most casual outfit look put together is leather. I've invested in a top quality leather jacket from All Saints that has lasted me for years and instantly lifts any outfit.

Go retro

I love that the 90's are back. Play with retro looks for a unique spin on athleisure.
